Rounds in Poker

Poker is a consistent game in which there is a strict sequence of moves of players and a sequence of game transitions from one stage to the next. The game is divided into several rounds, each of which carries new information and has its own unique strategy at this stage. It is necessary not only to know the rounds of trading and what should be paid attention to each of them, but also be able to calculate their chances of winning in each of them and make a decision based on them. All these abilities are comprehended with experience and studying a large number of available literature on poker.

A round of rounds in poker on the example of Texas Hold’em:

Pre-flop – distribution of two cards to all players at the table, collecting chips from the players in the positions of small and big blinds. Players start to make the first bets.Flop – on the surface of the table is dealt into an open three cards, which are common to all players and can participate in the compilation of poker combinations. Players continue to bet clockwise from the next position (left) of the dealer.

Turn – on the table there is another open, common card, after which all the remaining players in the game continue to bet and participate in the auction.

River – opens one more, fifth, last community card on the table, followed by the final round of trades.

Card opening- successively opening or discarding cards by all of the remaining players. The winner is determined after the showdown.
If you have little experience, it is better to determine the strategy of the game in the early stages (preflop, flop), tk. on the turn and river with a weak card you can lose a lot of chips.

The most informative stage in the game is usually a flop, because on it you see three cards on the table and can immediately assess the strength of your hand. In addition, before that, pre-flop you saw the stakes of other players and can assume that they can be in their hands. The simplest game is pre-flop, since the number of possible hands is not so great. You see two of your pocket cards and can make a decision based on them, plus taking into account your position, the number and type of players at the table. In some cases, pre-flop play can be simplified to one of the positive strategies (for example, the strategy of short stacks, which lists all possible moves based on their cards, position and moves of other players).Strategies for the game in this or that stage sometimes devote separate sections or even books, so you should pay attention to what kind of round it is and what happens in it.
